Everything you might want to know.
Don't see your question here? Send us a message — we usually reply within one business day.
What ages do you see?
Newborns through young adults (typically up to age 21). We are equipped to be your child's pediatric home from the very first visit through the transition to adult care.
Do you accept Medicaid?
Yes — we proudly welcome Medicaid families. Excellent pediatric care should be accessible to every family in our community.
What insurance do you accept?
We work with major insurance providers in addition to Medicaid. If you'd like us to verify your specific plan before your first visit, please call our office or send us a quick message.
Do you offer same-day sick visits?
Yes. Call our office in the morning if your child wakes up unwell and we will work to get them seen the same day.
Do you offer telehealth / virtual visits?
Yes — through healow Telehealth, we offer secure video visits for medication refills, follow-up appointments, lab/imaging result discussions, and behavioral or ADHD check-ins. Available to established Luma patients.
Do you do newborn home visits?
Yes — every Luma newborn family receives one complimentary in-home visit within baby's first two weeks. We check feeding, weight gain, jaundice, and how you're settling in, all without packing up baby for a clinic trip.
How do I book an appointment?
Use the "Book appointment" button anywhere on this site — it opens our secure patient portal where you can pick a time that works for your family. You can also call the office to schedule by phone.
What should I bring to a first visit?
Bring a photo ID, your insurance or Medicaid card, your child's immunization records (if available), and any forms that need to be signed. For newborns, bring the discharge paperwork from the hospital.
Do you do school, sports, and camp physicals?
Yes. Bring the forms with you — we'll take care of the rest during a regular well-child visit.
When are you opening?
We're opening in Fall 2026 in McKinney, Texas. Check back here for updates, or send us a message and we'll let you know as soon as we're seeing patients.
